NAYC has teamed up with Pacesetter to provide a programme of wellbeing activities for leaders to use in their youth clubs.
This 3-hour training session will equip leaders to deliver the activities and to develop their understanding of mental health and wellbeing.
All participating youth clubs will receive a resource pack full of wellbeing activities to incorporate into youth club sessions. The resource pack consists of a Leader’s Guide, worksheet packs, laminated resources and certificates.
Trainer – Kate Houghton (Pacesetter) – qualified Youth Mental Health First Aid instructor, experience working in the area of mental health and wellbeing, previously for the NHS, now delivering wellbeing and life skills workshops in schools.
This training is part of the Bitesize Wellbeing project, a National Lottery funded project that aims to get young people learning about wellbeing through fun and engaging bitesize activities. The type of topics covered include positive thinking, managing stress, resillience, looking after my body and being part of my community.
